The idea for this project is based on the simple concept of harmony and unity in dichotomous pairs, with focus on the multidimensional dualities intrinsic to the photographic medium. The images are a visual reflection on the coexistence of the analogue and digital, physical and virtual, organic and geometric, human and non-human, and many more dichotomous configurations which make up our contemporary world. The presented body of work consists of abstract and experimental camera-less luminograms and photograms as well as digital mixed media works.
‘On dichotomies’ is a Final Major Project for the MA Photography at Falmouth University.
