De’Anne Crooks’ – Two Truths and a Lie

Two Truths and a Lie is an Arts Council funded, solo exhibition of visual art by De’Anne Crooks. Born in Birmingham, De’Anne encapsulates the Jamaican heritage of her grandparents whilst addressing a much-needed conversation about the Black-British experience. In the hope of educating and re-educating herself and others, De’Anne explores the truth about race, the truth about mental health and challenges a corporate lie regarding identity. This 10-day event includes a series of art and illustration workshops; which invites people to come and create art in the name of mental health awareness.
