We are very pleased to announce that for our final Tell It to the Music of the year, the amazing Maureen Onwunali will be devising a set of poetry with a band (to be revealed)!
Join us at Centrala in Digbeth, on December 15th at 7pm, for a new poetic/musical journey, straight from the mind of Maureen (stay tuned to hear more).
Alongside this set, we will be opening up the mic for a jam as usual. Whether you’re a poet by day or inspired for just one night, come recite!
Tell the improvising musicians as much or as little information as you want – a set of pitches, a recipe for mulled wine, a heretofore unknown discovery – or just say follow me, and see what happens…
Hosted by Leo, Vato, and Amy, we invite you to experiment: come, perform your poetry to live, improvised music!
ONLY 7 advance open mic slots (sign-up sheet will be released soon).
3 more slots available on the door so rock up early if you want them.
All slots are 7 minutes long.
Pay what you can on the door (£3/5/7/9).
Some works may contain triggering content, we will encourage poets to provide trigger warnings before their pieces, however we cannot ensure these will cover everything.
