Home. Delivered. | Radu-Mihai Tanasă

Join us for a screening of Home. Delivered. by Radu-Mihai Tanasă, a new work commissioned by Centrala at Bibliotheek Utrecht Neude 11, 3512AE Utrecht, Netherlands. After the screening of the video, there will be a post-screening conversation with Radu, I-CLAIM researchers Ilse and Minke, and designer Habib.

The work follows a masked delivery courier navigating Utrecht during a work shift, transporting a large stone from one location to another. Through this deceptively simple journey, the film unfolds as a reflection on irregular migration, platform-based labour, and the emotional realities of working under conditions of legal and economic precarity.

Shot in low resolution on an old Canon camera, the film draws on the aesthetics of Hito Steyerl’s In Defence of the Poor Image, creating a reflective, slightly surreal atmosphere that sits between documentary and fiction. An internal monologue accompanies the courier’s movement through the city, offering insight into the rhythms, pressures, and quiet moments that shape precarious work.

The evening will offer an opportunity to experience the installation, learn more about the wider research context, and engage in conversation around migration, labour, and visibility in contemporary cities. All are welcome
