For the upcoming Digbeth First Friday, Centrala are thrilled to premier ‘We All Have Voices’, an exclusive pop-up exhibition highlighting voices from the trans community.
Centred around a striking bright orange dress – created by @ThrillHausDesigns – as a platform for broadcasting over 100 messages from transgender individuals and allies, the project is the brainchild of @EvaEch0, a highly respected multi-award winning activist, writer, and public speaker with a focus on transgender rights, intersectionality and mental health. By wearing this dress to 2024 Diva Awards (@DivaMagazine) held in London, Eva was able to take the voices of the marginalised community with her and showcase them in front of those in positions of influence.
As part of the event we will present a short film and series of photographs by @IrinaMackie, a Birmingham based Russian-Lithuanian photographer and videographer, documenting the making of the dress.

We are determined to stand together with marginalised groups and continue supporting queer communities, building fruitful relationships with trans+ individuals and allies from CEE countries, and ensuring our venue is a safe place for all,” comments Centrala’s director Alicja Kaczmarek.
