Contemporary Other is a grassroots arts platform and collective based in Digbeth, Birmingham sitting at the intersections of art, race and care. C/O exists to hold, enable and celebrate global majority artists with Live Art, radical and experimental practices.

Help Is On The Way, Dear is a new project from Contemporary Other designed to provide care and rest for artists, by artists through the creation of digital artworks that double as usable resources. This exhibition showcases the first of 5 of our commissions that individually respond to a different part of the ‘artistic process’. From brainstorm to burnout Help Is On The Way, Dear has got you covered. Featuring a meditative performance, soundscapes, comic books and more, this is a space for collective restoration and healing. Help Is On The Way, Dear is a commission strand for Midlands based artists from the global majority and will be returning in the Winter.
