Cariss Auburn’s soul-pop electronica is genre-bending and confessional. A singer-songwriter and self-taught producer from Wolverhampton, UK, Cariss’ first single of 2021, ‘Float’, made a huge splash with praise from The Line of Best Fit, COLORS and gal-dem and spins on BBC 1XTRA & BBC6Music.Single ‘Daydream’ or as Cariss calls it “my own little 3-minute holiday” solidified her status as a newcomer to watch on the UK alt-pop scene, with continued support from Spotify Fresh Finds play-listing and her first Radio 1 spin courtesy of BBC Introducing’s Gemma Bradley. Supported by PRS Foundation Women Make Music, Cariss’ EP ‘Refraction’ is due for release on the 6th May. Brand new single ‘Oblivion’is out now.

Ruth and The Ark

Ruth and The Ark are a collective that sail through funk and blues with the menacing soul voice from band leader Ruth Kokumo. Together they enliven their audience with not just their heavy bass grooves but a fiery energy of empowerment that is hard to put out. After the whirlwind of sold out shows during 2019 Ruth and The Ark are using this time to record their debut album ‘Drown’ which mixes highly finessed compositions with improvised offshoots that capture their hypnotic live atmosphere.
