A new European photography Club has opened in Newham, London, giving participants the opportunity to join acclaimed photographer Paulina Korobkiewicz to grow their photography skills and express their creativity.
The club is open to people of all backgrounds with an aim to to share the perspective of Central and Eastern European migrants though the development of their photography skills and output. Working with Paulina, attendees will enjoy creative growth and skills development with the opportunity to showcase their work in a final exhibition held at the end of the final session.
Coming together to celebrate diverse cultural heritages and taking part in cultural exchange, participants will work towards developing personal projects which reflect their migrant experience and tell the stories of making their new homes in the UK, whilst creating a contemporary portrait of life in Newham.
Commissioned by Culture within Newham, Centrala has partnered with Rosetta Arts and the Roma Support Group to bring this exciting opportunity to Newham residents. No previous experience of photography is necessary, this is an inclusive club and all are welcome.
The course is free to participants and will be held at Beckton Grove Library roughly two Saturdays a month, 10:30am-12:30pm.
