Horror comes in all different shapes and sizes, and this programme of animated shorts – ranging from 1953 to 2010 – shows the breadth of the genre.
There are some familiar names in the mix. Tim Burton, The Brothers Quay, and the late, great David Lynch all feature with their distinct creepy and eerie flair. Each film has a brand new live score written and performed by students from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.
If previous collaborations with the Conservatoire are anything to go by, this will be a terrific showcase of inventiveness and musical talent.
