West Mids Emo

Four eclectic queer musical acts from the West Midlands; My Last Duchess; Goat-Man and the Moth; Notion of Fortune; Izzy Evans.

My Last Duchess are a riot grrrl band known for their vibrant costumes and exhilarating performances, returning after a long hiatus due to poor health. This will be their first gig since releasing their debut album.

Goat-Man and the Moth are a grooving two piece akin to Royal Blood, only their songs are allegories for the often harsh and bitter challenges they face for simply being a part of the LGBTQ community. With new singles as well as music videos releasing before the gig, they’re hoping to use the concert as an opportunity to gather their fans for a celebration of their releases.

Notion of Fortune are possibly the tightest, most competent musicians in the West Midlands. Melodic and never dull, they always leave the audience in a trance. Being veterans of live music, they’ve expertly honed their folk sound to encourage even the most stoic of audiences to let loose and dance.

Izzy Evans’ Reclamation and Covet was voted on Tune Fountain as 2024’s best independent release in a pool of over three thousand voters. She is a fantastic songwriter whose intimate and emotional songs resonate deeply among her cult fanbase. As her following keeps growing, she is determined to uphold her religious performance schedule as well as record the highest fidelity she can offer to her fans.
