Refugee Week: Healing Party

The last few years have been incredibly difficult with the pandemic, the Afghan crisis and war in Ukraine. Now, more than ever we need to come together in solidarity to heal and celebrate together.

The theme for this year’s Refugee Week is Healing. Birmingham City Council and Near Neighbours are planning an event that aims to bring together disparate communities in recognition of our human and shared ability to heal. The event will promote acceptance and cohesion and raise awareness of refugee issues, health and well-being and the importance of our environment.

We will celebrate healing and unity through dance, song, spoken word and music, with performances from Brum’s varied communities that want to share their culture and come together to showcase Birmingham’s brilliant diversity.
