As part of the exhibition programme for ‘Queer Futures’, The Moving Minds open mic by Bold Mellon is an invitation to connect with the community through sharing performance works – complete or in progress – that respond to queer and migrant experiences.
7-8 local artists will be selected through an open call for an opportunity to present (5/10 minutes) performances across a range of mediums, including (but not limited to) poetry, live art and storytelling.

Through an open mic evening event and a daytime journaling & collage workshop, Maggie Kuzan (Thinking Flesh), Emilia Nurmukhamet (Bold Mellon Collective), and August Y Van Riper invite you to connect with and explore queer & migrant stories – while reflecting on the themes present in ‘Queer Futures’ group exhibition curated by Zula Rabikowska.
Both events are free to attend and open to all levels of experience.
