Your stories have helped us understand the barriers. Now we want you to help us turn those stories into action.
Over the past months, our storytelling workshops with artist Alicja Rogalska have brought migrant communities together to share experiences of work, careers and life after migration. We have heard powerful stories about qualifications being overlooked, careers interrupted, barriers to progression and the skills and experience that too often go unseen.
Now we are moving into the next stage — and we want you to help shape what comes next.
During this interactive workshop, we will work together on More Than a Workforce, our new campaign challenging the idea that migrants should be valued simply as workers rather than as professionals, leaders, entrepreneurs, creators and people with ambitions of their own.
This time, you won’t just be sharing your experiences. You’ll become part of designing the campaign. Together we will look at some of the stories and ideas gathered so far, identify the themes that matter most, choose powerful words and quotes, and explore how they could become campaign messages, social media content and creative materials such as T-shirts, badges and other campaign pieces.
There will also be space for anyone who hasn’t shared their story yet — or has something new they would like to contribute.
Most importantly, this is an opportunity to be part of something bigger. The ideas developed in the workshop will help shape a real public campaign that brings migrant experiences into wider conversations about fair work, career progression, recognition and economic justice.
The workshop is part of Quiet Power: Migrant Voices for Economic Justice and our wider CEEus! Network, where migrant communities come together not only to share experiences, but to build collective voice, develop leadership and influence the systems that affect our lives.
Your experience is evidence. Your ideas can shape the message. Your voice can help create change.
No previous workshop attendance or creative experience is needed — new participants are very welcome.
