Leading within migrant communities often means trying to create change with limited resources, navigating complicated funding systems and advocating for communities that do not always have equal access to money, influence or decision-making spaces.
This practical and interactive training will explore economic justice through the realities of migrant leadership — looking at who has access to resources, how funding decisions are made, where power sits, and how migrant leaders and organisations can become more financially resilient while strengthening their influence.
The session will provide a supportive space for migrant leaders to discuss challenges facing their communities and organisations and explore practical solutions — both individually and through the collective power of working together.
Through our CEEus! Network, we support migrant and emerging leaders to strengthen their voice, advocacy and leadership skills. This is the next training in our CEEus! Leadership Programme 2026, providing practical knowledge and tools to help migrant leaders build stronger communities and influence the systems and decisions that affect them.

Who Is This For & What To Expect?
This interactive, face-to-face training is designed for migrant leaders and emerging leaders from all migrant communities, including community leaders, coordinators, project managers, volunteers, organisers and anyone involved in migrant-led or community-based organisations. You don’t need to be an established leader—if you’re active in your community and want to develop your leadership skills, you’re very welcome. Through practical learning, shared experiences and open discussion, participants will explore challenges affecting their communities and organisations and consider how migrant leaders can work individually and collectively to build greater influence and create positive change.
Lunch, refreshments and beverages will be provided.
Facilitator: Migrant Voice
The training will be facilitated by Migrant Voice, a migrant-led organisation working to strengthen migrant voices, challenge negative narratives and support migrants to participate in the decisions and debates that affect their lives.
This session brings their experience of migrant advocacy and collective action into our Leadership Programme 2026, with a particular focus on power, resources and economic justice.
