ELL SOL (Him Alone) is one of the many faces of Joan Mena. Composer, performer, guitarist, multi-instrumentalist, improviser, organiser, and multitasker from Barcelona (Catalonia).
Inspired by the DIY world, he has toured widely and shared the stage with many great musicians throughout his musical career, including King Ayisoba, Carl Stone, Léonore Boulanger, Laura Cannell, Zea (The Ex) and Howie Reeve. He has also collaborated with artists from other disciplines, such as visual artist Laura Puska or the French filmmaker Michael Zump.
Joan Mena pulls the roots of Catalan contemporary music into another level with Ell Sol, using explosive extended techniques on his Mediterranean guitar and pushing his body to the limits at each performance.
African polyrhythms, existential poems, a rollercoaster of Catalan chanson, free Balearic whispering, Dadaism and acoustic trance make the texts in this special language a new folkloric experience.
Ell Sol released 4 albums and presented his compositions, performances and sounds around Europe, China, West Africa, Iran or Iceland.

DBH is a guitarist who has been honing his craft on the live stage for 20 years. His style is informed by the usual suspects of the folk revival (John Renbourn, Nick Drake) and the American primitivists whilst also incorporating his love of classical, jazz and post-rock. The resulting melting pot is an enchanting journey through cascades of melody and emotional twists and turns. He has made 3 LPs of his compositions, two of which are still available through Thread Recordings. His latest releases are a split 7″ with The Utopia Strong on Golden Lion Sounds and a track on a compilation of Michael Hurley covers commissioned by the man himself!

A Concert of many genres of musical puzzles. From the sounds of progressive rock and ambient to flamenco rhythms with jazz elements, we get an explosive concert mix. When composing new sounds enriched with electronic effects, Michał Obrębski remains faithful to the acoustic guitar.
At the concerts, we will hear material from the last two albums and new compositions.
The upcoming route at the turn of 2023/24 will cover many European cities, including: London,
Birmingham, Liverpool, Warsaw and Kiev.
