Art and Brexit - Young people's opportunities
We will be chatting with:
* Saziso Phiri - freelance curator & cultural producer based in Nottingham, working independently and in partnership with organisations and individuals. Saziso is particularly interested in working with early-career and emerging artists, and exhibiting within non-traditional art environments. She is the curator for UK New Artists Leicester City Takeover and current Curator in Residence at City Arts Nottingham.
* Borimir Totev - creative producer and Communications Officer at London based civil rights organisation New Europeans UK (@neweuropeansuk) and on the ground with LGBT Deystvie (@lgbtaction), one of the few LGBT+ organisations in Bulgaria. Currently working on “melancholy mappings” a personal research and photography project with a focus on early childhood migration. Commissioned by Satellite films (@satellite) as one of 10 filmmakers to produce a 60 second video on the migrants’ experience of the hostile environment in the UK.
* James Banner - James Banner was born in Dudley, England and is now based in Berlin and the UK, working as an improvising musician and composer. James is active as a co-leader and sideman in projects in the jazz and improvised music scenes of Berlin and London.
* Marta Marsicka - art historian, Art Programme Coordinator. Member of Emerging Curators Group at Tate. Passionate about making Central and Eastern European art and culture visible in the British art scene.
