POLISH FILM POSTER EXHIBITION – FRENCH FILMS

About This Project

Artist, Reveal Yourself! organised by PAiL West Midlands in collaboration with Polish Expats Association, launches this Friday on the 3rd of May 2013 at A.E.Harris in Birmingham. For three days, visitors will have a chance to see projects from various art disciplines including visual arts, theatre, music and poetry.

First day of the festival starts with a visual art exhibition, a theatre performance and a slam poetry on an open microphone formula. The exhibition presents works – from painting, through photography, sound art to performance – of over twenty international artists, all based in the UK. Intentionally, exhibition does not have any particular theme, aiming to show the most interesting grassroots art. Invited artists seem to be however particularly interested in subjects connected to cultural identity, migration and communication.

Saturday and Sunday offer several art related workshops, including photography and dance, as well as slam poetry, artist talk and screening. After Saturday’s slam we will have a chance to listen to some live ambient, instrumental, dub, and hip hop at The Spotted Dog.
