A night of poetry, music and storytelling exploring the themes of historic stories of the under represented diaspora.

Explore history, herstory and our stories through art, conversation and all the vibes. Chakrajuice & Ital will be on sale.

Janel Antoneshia
Jamaican born singer/writer Janel Antoneshia has not conformed to one style of music, she has no consistent sound but instead has been hugely inspired by Gospel, soul, rhythm and blues. Her overall desire is to continue to create music that’s relevant to the growth of herself and others.
Her voice has been described as: “Hauntingly beautiful”.

Jordanne Renee
Jordanne Renee is a poet, blogger and singer . She is a self proclaimed self love advocate and aims to push messages of self care through her work. She explores identity and experiences as a queer 3rd generation black Brit.
Jordanne Renee is a furiously brummie poet . She is a multipotential lite , intersectional feminist, plantain enthusiast and avid tea drinker – sometimes this allows her to make things.

Bridget Minamore
Bridget Minamore is a writer, poet and journalist who was shortlisted to be London’s first Young Poet Laureate and is part the creative team behind Brainchild Festival. She teaches poetry workshops around the country, including for My Body Back, a charity that aims to empower women who have suffered sexual violence. In 2015 Bridget was chosen as one of The Hospital Club’s Emerging Creatives, as well as one of Speaking Volumes’ 40 Stars of Black British Literature. ‘Titanic’, her debut pamphlet of poems on modern love and loss, came out in May this year.
