On November 21st, Centrala is happy to host amazing French performers Terrine, Félon and Cheval Scintillantes for an evening of experimental sounds and improvisation.
TERRINE (techno – experimental – indus / Amiens FR)
Terrine is a french improvised solo. She shows a certain shade of noise around industrial and electronic… Experimenting textures, voices with an abstract vision of techno.
FÉLON (Experimental Harp/ Bruxelles)
Félon is a solo project of Léa Roger, a Brussel based harpist who also play in Guili Guili Goulag (a harp, bass, drum trio) and Osilasi (a duo with harp, percussions, voice and violin with wheel). In her solo project, she is interested in playing with sound dynamics, rhythmic shifts, microtonal sounds, overtones and feedback generated by the harp and/or enhanced by FX pedals. Her music is guided by the perception of the moment according to space and the lived experience. The harp becomes less indentifiable, absorbed and diverted by the use of various objects (hook, chain, fans, piece of metal, epilators …) or fx pedals, developing percussive capacities of the harp, changing its resonance (halo of sound) and integrating crude little sounds resulting from the instrumental gesture which are often considered like imperfections.
CHEVAL SCINTILLANTES (Experimental Cellon/ Cherbourg FR)
Cheval scintillantes is Bernadou Sophie’s solo project (Cherbourg, France). Multi-instrumentist, she has made a lot of collaborations, mainly with cello (Folle Eglise, mortes eaux, Grosse patate, Pierre Berthet, on the last Half Japanese and Jad Fair’s LP…… ). This project was born in this form, cello with electronics, in june 2015 (first tape on the UK label “Was Ist Das” http://wasistdas.co.uk/label/cheval-scintillantes/) and she also released a tape on “ZamZamRec” http://www.zamzamrec.org/ChevalScintillantes.html. All records are unrefined. These are always improvisations, her work is in perpetual movement and variations. She extensively toured this solo project, all over France, Belgium, England, Germany & Switzerland.
