If the bell rings, we will hear it

29 July @ 20:00 - 22:00

On July 29th, Centrala is proud to host the final performance of ‘If the bell rings, we will hear it’, a live improvised sound from Rebecca Lee (flute, objects) and Samuel Rodgers (metal and glass percussion, field recordings).

‘If the bell rings, we will hear it’ is an Arts Council-funded research and development project exploring the reciprocity between materials, space and environment in live improvised performance.

Through a series of performances and residencies, we have been developing a new body of work that focuses on the performer, their materials, the space, environment, and audience as listening, seeking to allow synchronicities between these elements to emerge. We are interested in how these elements feed into one another to create a contingentexperience in the here and now that cannot be prescribed beforehand, and in exploring ways in which we can share such an experience with others.
