Digbeth First Friday: Simona Žemaitytė, A̶l̶l̶ ̶Y̶o̶u̶ Need Is Love Launch & Live DJ Set

Centrala is excited to announce our next exhibition launch and follow up celebration commencing on Digbeth First Friday…
̶A̶l̶l̶ ̶Y̶o̶u̶ ̶ Need Is Love by Lithuanian artist, Simona Žemaitytė, is a workshop-based video which explores the complex emotions which exist alongside issues of addiction. Using the body and performance, Žemaitytė deploys a diverse range of experiences from five strangers who discuss their relationships with sex and love. The piece will take the audience on a journey through the triggers, boundaries and guilt associated with addiction, that will illuminate a path to belonging and healing.
The launch of this new exhibition will take place at Centrala on March 4th from 6pm-8pm.
This will be followed by a live set until 11pm from DJ Lai Power who hails from the motor city of Birmingham, UK. Uploading echoes of Chicago/Detroit into your cyberbrain. Future sounds from the ninth dimension. HI-NRG anti-capitalist dance music for the working class.
This exhibition is organised in partnership with the Lithuanian Cultural Attache in the UK and the Lithuanian Culture Institute. Supported by LATGA, Lithuania and produced by Artišokai, Lithuania.
We look forward to seeing you!
